Your SIM card and your plan will not begin until you have activated it. Once you receive your product in the mail, visit premium.freedompop.com/activate to get started.
During activation, you have the option to transfer a phone number in from another wireless carrier (or from your old FreedomPop VoIP account) or you can get a new phone number.
If you decide to get a new number, your service and plan will being right away. You can start the setup process and use your device.
If you decide to transfer a number in from another carrier, your account and billing cycle will not begin until the number transfer is complete. You can begin setting up and using your phone after the transfer is complete.
This information applies to older, Standard SIMs
Activation occurs when the device ships.
In order to make the installation process As easy as possible and hassle-free right out-of-the-box, the device needs to be activated before it gets to you. This is to ensure no delay in service when you receive your device.
You will still have your full allotment for the first month, only over a shorter period of time. Once your first month ends, you will receive a fresh allotment of data.
