Status Code 300

If you heard this status code when you called our customer service line, your FreedomPop service is suspended due to data overage.

If you have Top Ups turned OFF, your service will become suspended when you come close to your data plan limit. This is to avoid exceeding your data limit, in the event of heavy data usage. If your service is suspended when you still have a small amount of data left in your plan, check to see if Top Ups are turned off, as that could be the reason why.

To reinstate service:

Click here to upgrade your plan or click here to enable Automatic Top-Ups. Otherwise, you can simply wait until your billing cycle renews. Your billing cycle renews on the same day every month.

Status Code 301

You have used all of your data and exceeded all of your top-ups for this billing cycle. Every month, your billing cycle renews on the same day, and your top up allotment renews. You can incur a maximum of 7 Top Ups in a single billing cycle, including both manual Top Ups and Automatic Top Ups.

To learn more about how Top Ups work, click here.

Upgrade your data plan, for more data. Or, consider asking friends for data using the Freedom Friend feature. You can also complete offers to earn additional data.

Status Code 302

If you heard this status code when you called our customer service line, your FreedomPop service is suspended due to data overage.

Also, if you have Top Ups turned OFF, your service will be suspended when you come within 100MBs of your data usage. This is to avoid exceeding your data limit, in the event of heavy data usage. If your service is suspended when you still have a small amount of data left in your plan, check to see if Top Ups are turned off, as that could be the reason why.

Error Code 505

Error 505 occurs if you have the wrong FreedomPop application downloaded onto your phone. You would only encounter this error message if you are using an Android phone. Because we offer two different applications on the Android platform:

The FreedomPop Messaging Phone/SIM application, and the Text Free & Call Free application.

Which messaging application applies to me?

If you are receiving a data connection from FreedomPop, you need to use the FreedomPop Messaging Phone/SIM application. This means, if you have any one of the following product types:

• A CDMA (Sprint) phone purchased from FreedomPop

• A GSM SIM Kit purchased from FreedomPop

• A BYOD activation (you activated your own Sprint phone on our service)

You need the FreedomPop Messaging Phone/SIM app.

If you are instead using another service provider, and you are simply downloading the FreedomPop app to use for calling and texting (much like you would use Skype or WhatsApp), then you need the Text Free & Call Free application.

How to download the proper application

It's important that you uninstall the incorrect application first, before you try to install the correct application.

Step 1: To uninstall an application from your Android phone, first go to Settings.

Step 2: Next, tap on Apps (it may also be called Applications).

Step 3: Then, locate the incorrect FreedomPop application. Tap on it.

Step 4: Tap on the Uninstall button.

Once the incorrect application is uninstalled, you can open the Google Play Store application and search for -- and download -- the correct one. This will resolve error 505.
