Carrier Reset Settings: ##72786# and ##873283#

What is a Carrier Reset?

A carrier reset can help resolve data connection problems by re-provisioning your phone onto the wireless network. Essentially, this reset takes your phone off of the mobile network and then places it back on the network with the best possible settings for your device and location. We also recommend that you perform a carrier reset after you receive a new phone, to get off on the right foot.

Keep in mind, even if you are having trouble with calling and texting, a carrier reset will help because the service is VoIP. This reset will not delete the data (pictures, videos, applications) on your phone.

Please Note:

These steps will not help you, if your device is a GSM device and you have a FreedomPop SIM card. It will not help if you have a hotspot device. This information only applies if you purchased a FreedomPop phone, or activated a Sprint phone that you already own, under our B.Y.O.D program.

Steps for Android devices:

This step is very important! First, connect your phone to WiFi

Go to your home screen

Select your phone's native dialer

(Make sure you are not tapping on the FreedomPop Messaging Application)

Dial ##72786# or ##SCRTN#

For Google, Nexus or Motorola Phones dial *#*#72786#*#*

Tap Dial, Send or Call

Again, you will not lose phone data (pictures, text messages, etc.) from completing a carrier reset. Your phone will reset (turn off, and back on again).

I am being asked for an MCC code

If you are asked for an MCC code, please try the code 310. If that does not work, enter 311. This number varies depending on the network your device is recognizing.
