I'm not getting voicemail messages

This information applies to Premium SIM cards

Did you complete initial Voicemail setup?

When you first activate your FreedomPop phone line, you'll need to call the voicemail number. Open your phone's dialer, then press and hold the number 1. When you first call, you'll be asked to complete the setup process, which includes creating a voicemail password and recording your voicemail greeting. Are you trying to use the Visual Voicemail application

On most newer android phones (and on all iPhones) there is a section dedicated to voicemails, within your phone's calling application.

For android phones, you will not see any voicemails within your phone's calling application  until you have enabled the visual voicemail feature on your FreedomPop account, for $1.00 per month. Log into https://www.freedompop.com/my-lines and click on your line. Next, select Other Add-Ons. Finally, click on the Visual Voicemail service to purchase and activate it.

Turn Power Saving Mode off

This step only applies to Android phones. If you have an iPhone, skip to the next step.

If your phone is running Android 6.0, or a more recent operating system, you should whitelist the FreedomPop Voicemail application. When your phone's battery percentage gets low, it will go into Power Saving mode. When this happens, a lot of applications are disabled to conserve power. Unfortunately, when the Visual Voicemail application is disabled, you will not be able to receive voicemails.

If you whitelist the application, it will not be disabled, even if your phone goes into Power Saving mode. These steps may vary depending on the type of phone you have (for example, steps on a Samsung phone may be different from steps on an LG phone.

Whitelist your application on Android phones

Step 1: Open the Settings application on your phone.

Step 2: Open the Performance Management Settings.

Step 3: Tap on Battery.

Step 4: Tap on Optimize.

Step 5: Here you can select the applications that you want to remain active, despite Power Saving mode.

Step 6: Select FreedomPop Voicemail.

Restart the FreedomPop Messaging application
