I'm not receiving phone calls

This information applies to Premium SIM cards

Have you completed setup?

Setup includes activating your phone line at freedompop.com/activate, configuring APN settings and placing at least one outgoing phone call to a non-VoIP phone number. Click here for more information on setting up your FreedomPop service.

How many minutes are left in your plan?

Check your account to see if you have enough minutes left to receive calls. Keep in mind, both incoming and outgoing calls count towards your plan limit.

Make sure Caller ID Block is disabled

Our service blocks calls from private or unavailable numbers by default. If you would like to receive calls from numbers that are private, you need to turn this feature OFF.

Step 1: Log into your account at my.freedompop.com.

Step 2: Click on "Manage Settings".

Step 3: Click on "Voice and Data Settings".

Step 4: Under "Anonymous Call Preferences", toggle the "Disable Incoming Anonymous Calls" button from ON to OFF.

Disable Incoming Premium Voice

FreedomPop is VoIP, which means we use the internet for calling and texting, instead of the cellular network. With Premium Voice you can receive messages over the cellular network, instead of the data network, if your data signal is weak. Calls are usually clearer this way, and you can set your phone to accept incoming calls using only the Premium Voice feature.

However, if you are in an area where you have a strong data signal, Premium Voice does not do anything. Therefore, you should turn "Incoming calls by Premium Voice" off, otherwise you won't receive your incoming calls.

Steps for an android device

Step 1: Tap on the hamburger menu at the top, on the left.

Step 2: Scroll down and tap on Settings.

Step 3: Tap on “Incoming Call Settings” or "Incoming Call Preferences".

Step 4: Check the box, or tap the button that says “Incoming calls from the FreedomPop application”. This will stop incoming calls from being picked up by premium voice.

Steps for an iPhone device

Step 1: Open the FreedomPop Messaging application on your phone and tap on Account.

Step 2: Tap on Call Settings

Step 3: Tap on "Receive Call via".

Step 4: Tap "App" to select it as your preferred method of incoming calls. This will stop incoming calls from being picked up by Premium Voice.
