How to download our applications
To download FreedomPop applications, visit the Google Play store on an Android device, or the App Store on an iOS (iPhone) device. Read through the list of applications below, for a description of FreedomPop provided android and iOS applications.
You can click on the application you need, to be taken to the download location in the Google Play or the iPhone App store, in order to install it.
List of Android applications:
The FreedomPop Messaging Application
This application is required for calling and texting. It’s a VoIP application that allows you to make and receive calls and text messages. It connects to your phone’s native dialer. Contacts will be viewed from the native dialer and call history is managed there as well.
The MyFreedomPop Application
This application lets you manage your plans and services, it let’s you view your talk, text, and data usage, and see how many minutes, messages, and MBs you have left.
The FreedomPop Text Free & Call Free Application
This application functions like our FreedomPop Messaging application does, however it is only for customers that do not have a FreedomPop, phone or SIM card. If you have service with another carrier, like Sprint or T-Mobile, or any other major carrier, you can use the OTT application for additional minutes / messages.
The FreedomPop Diagnostic Application
This application can help you troubleshoot your device. It lets you run tests on the device, to determine what parts of the software are working properly; You can test your signal strength, data connection, battery life, speaker sound volume, and more.
The Visual Voicemail Application
This application is no longer available. Voicemails are now managed within the FreedomPop Messaging application. You will need to sign up for the Visual Voicemail service for $2.49/month, to hear and manage voicemails. Click here to see how to access your voicemail messages.
This application was required to hear and manage your voicemails. Visual Voicemail, means you simply open the application and you can play, or delete messages directly from the app's interface.
The FreedomPop Nationwide WiFi Application
This application is currently inactive. This application will detect available WiFi networks in your area and connect you to them automatically.
List of iPhone applications
The FreedomPop: Calling & Texting Application
This application is required for calling and texting. It’s a VoIP application that allows you to make and receive calls and text messages. Contacts will be viewed from within the FreedomPop: Free Calling, Texting, & SMS, and call history is managed here as well.
There is a section within the application for Visual Voicemail. Visual Voicemail, means you simply open the application and you can play, or delete messages directly from the apps interface. This is more convenient than traditional voicemail, that requires you to call a phone number and put in your PIN. You will need to sign up for the Value Added Service to utilize this section and its functions.
This application is downloaded by customers that have a FreedomPop plan, or by customers that have service with another carrier, but simply want additional VoIP minutes and texts. For customers that do not have a FreedomPop plan, this application works much like Skype, Viber or WhatsApp..
