The GSMT 3G UMTS network is being decommissioned. This means 3G-only devices and devices without VoLTE functionality will no longer receive a signal.
This means that if your phone is only capable of a 3G connection, it will no longer receive a signal. Please note that 4G LTE and 5G will continue to function. If your device is capable of 3G and 4G LTE, it will continue to work. |
Enable VoLTE before June 30, 2022: The good news is our records show that your phone may have VoLTE functionality, but the feature is disabled. It is important to enable VoLTE on your device before the 3G shutdown on June 30, 2022. |
Why is VoLTE important? VoLTE is a feature on most newer smartphones that allows you to make and receive calls over an LTE connection. Because the 3G network is shutting down, only 4G LTE and 5G will remain. You’ll need VoLTE functionality to continue using your phone to call and text. |
