Allow Prepaid Cards as payment method

Hello FreedomPop Community and support staff!

I would like to thank you first of all for creating a free cell phone service. However, the fact that the free service needs a specific type of debit/credit card is ridiculous. Based on some reviews, I am not okay with giving my actual debit card, so I opened a Prepaid account, and I found out that it is not accepted... most likely because an overage fee without any funds wouldn't be acceptable.

I would simply like to use Prepaid Debit Cards and/or Visa Gift Cards to sign up for the free service, with the $10 rollover fund. If you're worried about no funds being available after an overage, maybe have a policy where no funds means a service suspension until funds are added?

This would help with a lot of people and maybe give you more subscribers.

    Thanks for reaching out. We apologize for the delayed response. We don't support prepaid cards nor gift cards. We currently accept major credit cards. You may also link a PayPal account to your FreedomPop account if using a credit card is not the best option for you.

    You do realize that switching to paypal does nothing for your prepaid card? They dont accept it as payment. Paypal will not use the prepaid card to pay for freedompop services.
