I've never been able to get calls & texts to work from the FreedomPop Messaging call/text app.
When I open the app, there's a big alert that says:
- "You have been upgraded to a full native service account. Please use the native messaging app for text messages with the same number for better experience. Please also make sure you perform profile update by dialing ##72786#. For Google Nexus Phones dial *#*#72786#*#*"
This shortcode/MMI code doesn't work for me. My phone is 100% unlocked and works totally fine with AT&T and T-Mobile SIMs.
In the FP Messaging app, if I hit the keypad icon to make an outgoing call, I have the following strange behaviour:
- If I don't have Google Voice installed, the native Android phone dialer opens - but making an outgoing call fails with a generic AT&T voice message saying that the call could not be completed.
- If I have Google Voice installed, when I try and initiate a phone call from FP Messaging, my Google Voice opens!
It's very weird. Can I get some assistance in troubleshooting FP Messaging so that I can make outgoing calls from it?
