I submitted this as a Request online (#37487) and it was immediately marked as "Solved." The confirmation email I received after the submission had the word "Closed" added to the subject line.
It's neither solved, nor closed - my hotspot is still not working!

About a month ago, I had a different problem with this hotspot that Tech Support was able to help me resolve and it was working fine.
The problem now is the hotspot shows a “No Battery” alert next to the battery icon, a blinking yellow LED, and the data connection is lost. While in that state, I can not shut it down except by removing the battery.
The battery was only about six months old, so I reinserted it. Each time I did that, it would power-up normally and connect to the cellular network. Everything worked fine, except within a short time, it would fail the same way. Every now and then, the screen would wake up and the alert would go away, but it soon come back and the hotspot would never connect to the network.
I finally replaced the battery and the hotspot goes into the same failure mode.
